Missing 7 players due to school trips and holidays and our three u13 county players all in county action resources were stretched to absolute maximum.But we managed 2 fantastic wins,in the South Northants league Broughton managed 58 great bowling from skipper Matt Swinford and Will Stanley in a top all round display in the field,Stanley with 20 gave us a good start be we lost wickets steadily, but managed to get home with an over to spare.In the Oxford League a sensational finish as we got home with a ball to spare.Batting first Noth Cotswold scored 103 Gloucester u13 all rounder Robbie Shurmer with a hard hit 35[retired] the pick of the NC batsman Josh Megson 4-1-11-2 the pick of our bowlers.In reply we made a great start as Will Briggs and Charlie Hill puting on 50 for the first wicket in 10 overs.We then subsided to 60 for 5 with 7 overs to go , enter captain fantastic Clarke Berry as he smashed 33 to get us back into the game,when he retired 12 was needed from 10 balls, three wickets fell and when number 10 Ian Moore marched out to the wicket 4 were needed from 2 balls, he cool as you like smashed his first ball to the boundry for a dramitic victory and a great weekend for the squad, Next sunday the Oxford League side have the Ron Maudsly Trophy finals day at Bicester details to follow.
