Banbury U15s won their 2nd league match of the season yesterday evening, beating Middleton Cheney U15s by 9 wickets at Ermont Way.
The win was set up by another good bowling performance. Adam G (4-1-6-1), Zeeshan A on debut (3-1-4-0), Shiva S (4-0-13-0) and Joe M (3-0-14-0) all kept things very tight, leaving Ben M and Will R to close out the innings.
Faced with a target of 79, Murray S and Dan S (20 from 28 balls) put on 58 in the first 10 overs, before Tom F (11 from 9 balls) finished off a calm and efficient chase. Murray S (36* from 41 balls) in particular showed good composure mixed with real intent – a very good knock.
