Grassroots Cricket Award Winners 2023

We are delighted to announce that we have had 11 successful winners in the 2023 Oxfordshire Grassroots Cricket Awards! The awards seek to reward and recognise volunteers across Oxfordshire who have made a difference to their club or community group. Our winners will receive their awards on Sunday 17th September, alongside the Finals Day at Wormsley!

The winners and their respective categories are as follows:

Game Changer: Freddie Crook

Unsung Hero: Matt Miller, John Woodhead, Olly Badger, Fred Price, Amy Acton, Matt Acton & David Cronin

Growing the Game: Bethany Bidwell

Lifetime Achiever: Craig Haupt

Tackling Climate Change: Banbury Cricket Club

Game Changer - Young volunteer 17 to 25 years old making a difference in the game

Unsung Hero - Those heroes who impact our game and help us make cricket happen. This could be ground staff, coaches, officials, umpires or other volunteers.

Growing the Game - A league volunteer, committee member, or administrator going above and beyond to support clubs and help increase the number of games played.

Lifetime Achiever - That one individual who has given many years of service to your club or community group you could not do without.

Tackling Climate Change - A club or community organisation that is addressing the threat climate change poses to cricket, by making sustainable changes to operations, adapting their facilities and/or engaging their local community.
