Friendly League team win at Great Tew

Despite rain interupting play a couple of times a great all round team display saw the Under 11 friendly team claim victory at Great Tew by 32 runs. Batting first we managed 274 (start at 200) for the loss of 4 wickets (2 run outs) off our 16 overs. Jago Lynch top scored with 21 runs, Fergus Woods got 19 & George Grieve 11.

In return the boys all fielded superbly & sensibly on a slippy outfield marshalled well once again by their skipper & keeper Jack Lambden. Tight bowling by Aaron Austin (3 runs scored off his 2 overs) & Fergus Woods (6 runs off his 3 overs) restricted Tew’s run flow and they could only manage 242 for 5 in reply. The wicket takers were one each for William Nelson, Morgan Barnden & Jago Lynch with 2 run outs (William Nelson & Jago Lynch).
