Banbury went on to beat Bloxham School in a pre season warm up by 133 runs. In the warm spring sunshine Banbury started off slowly but eventually managed to post a respectable total with Stuart Armstrong leading the way with an unbeaten 44 not out.
With the second XI fixture cancelled due to the opposition, unable to raise a side, Banbury put out a side with a mixture of 2nd and 1st XI players to give everybody a run out before the start of the league season. And they didn’t disappoint going onto bowl them out for just 63.
