Charlie Hill was voted the Oxfordshire u17 players player of the year at the presentation evening held at the Hawkwell House Hotel in Iffley on Friday.It was just reward for Hill who had enjoyed a consistent season with bat and ball for the county.All in all Banbury had 8 boys playing county cricket and 5 girls, in another successful season for the clubs junior teams.The U17’s retained the county cup and the u13’s won the south Northants cup,the girls U13 team won the county competition and lost in the final of the regional event.Two players Lloyd Sabin and Josh Megson have signed 1 year academy contracts with Middlesex and Gloucestershire respectively.Kieran Scott is shortly going to India for a 2 week tour with the Julian Wood academy,we wish him well.The county assessments for next year have just been completed and we hope it went well for all of players who attended them.
