4ths end season with a whimper

the 4th have bowed out of the 2012 season with a heavy loss at the hands of Kimble.

Bowling first Banbury found very little rhythme, Richards reaching 50 in 8 overs. Kimble made 272-6 dec after 48 overs. There was 2 wickets a piece for Dan Bartlet, Siam Hussain and Chris Phillips.

In reply Banbury never got going and slump to 98 all out batting for only 32.2 of a possible 52 overs. Iffy put up a bit of a fight reaching 35, in what was a poor all round display.

Banbury finished 9th and will be relegated to divsion 6 for the 2013 season.

Bigs thanks to Geoff and his team for the work on the ground, the ladies tea rota at Ermot way and to those who umpired throughout the season. Also a massive thanks to John Pallett for putting up with Barry’s friday night panic phone calls.

the season will be reviewed and player of the season awarded at the end of season dinner, hope to see you all there!!!
