2022 News

Following on from our recent AGM, there’s plenty of news to keep you updated on going into the 2022 season! 

Election of New Officers:

  • Hon. Treasurer: John Woodworth returns to post officially in 2022, replacing the outgoing James Risbridger.
  • Youth Chair: Cat Miller takes on this role, replacing Richard Badger who now moves into a General Committee position.
  • Fixture Secretary: Neil Megson takes on fixtures for 2022, replacing Geoff Hawkins who remains on the General Committee.
  • Safeguarding Officer: Becky Holmes joins the committee in this important role, replacing Steve Hart who now transitions to support our Grounds teams.
  • General Committee: We welcome Karen Cross and James Crosby to the General Committee in 2022.

We would like to place our enormous thanks on record to all outgoing officers for their time, dedication and commitment to the club and we look forward to working with new officers as the club continues to move forward!

All other officers were elected to the club, same as last year. A full list of officers of the club can be found here

2022 Captains:

  • Men’s 1st XI: Lloyd Sabin (VC: Ollie Wright)
  • Women’s 1st XI: Charlotte Boland
  • 2nd XI: Justin Lambden       
  • 3rd XI: Neil Megson         
  • 4th XI: Joe Wetherill       
  • Sunday XI: TBC
  • Midweek XI:Andrew Prior

Subscriptions:

The subscriptions and membership fees were proposed at the AGM and are as follows:

  • Full Playing Membership: £120
  • U18, Students and Unemployed: £75
  • Youth (U11s upwards): £75£65 (U9s), £50 (All-Stars) – plus sibling discount
  • VP: £45  Associate: £35

This represents no change from 2020 or 2021 and provides fantastic value.

Reminder that you can gain a £10 discount on subscriptions by being a member of the 100 club; contact Eddie Phillips for a form!

Match fees were proposed at £6 for adults and £3 for U18, Students & Unemployed.

We will once again be offering the Player Sponsorship package for £300 (inc.VAT) for any players / companies interested – this should be in place in advance, much like annual subscriptions!

Other News:

Winter nets are back for Men, Women & Youth as follows:

  • Junior – from Sunday 23rd Jan – 4pm to 5pm – Bloxham School Dewey Centre (£3 per session)
  • Senior – from Sunday 23rd Jan – 5pm to 7pm – Bloxham School Dewey Centre (£5 per session)
  • Women’s – from Friday 28th Jan – 6pm to 7:30pm – North Oxfordshire Academy (£3 per session)

We have a great number of sponsorship opportunities available to prospective business, local companies and individuals to support local cricket at Banbury.
