BCC women’s 1st XI, completed their first win on Sunday in their first match at a higher level.
Kate Davis was the star with the bat making 74 not out and debutant and Rugby World Cup Winner Amber Reed the star bowler with 4 wickets.

A fine opening partnership by the Banbury openers sealed a convincing win over Moddershall Ladies. Katie Davis 74* and Chloe AE Hill 45 providing the platform to set up a solid total of 163. The Moddershall bowling attack worked hard and bowled tightly and didn’t get the rewards that might have hoped for. In response Modershall Ladies batting didn’t ever fire and wickets were lost regularly as the bounce became more variable as the innings progressed resulting in a disappointing total of 71. Pick of the Bambury bowlers was debutant Amber Reed returning 4 for 18 off 9 overs.
