Vacancy: Women & Girls Coach

Banbury Cricket Club welcome applications and expressions of interest for a coach to lead the progression of our existing Women & Girls section.

The club have had an established section for well over a decade, and are looking to expand our offering and grow girls cricket, in particular. We currently compete in the Oxfordshire Indoor League, Home Counties Women’s Cricket League (Super 8s), as well as Softball Festivals across the county.

Our membership comprises of experienced players, and those newer to the game, so the ideal candidate would be able to work across all abilities and ages.

The ideal candidate should be able to lead our indoor & outdoor training sessions, as well as supporting with matchday coaching / guidance. It would be desirable if the successful candidate could also then support with any transition into senior cricket, alongside our existing management committee.

Outdoor training sessions are every Wednesday evening in the Summer, with matches played on Sundays. Indoor training sessions are currently held on Sunday afternoons in the Winter.

The coach will work alongside our existing Women & Girls Manager & 1st XI Captain in the future planning of the section, in conjunction with our other Senior cricket captains.

Key Requirements:

· Deliver engaging training sessions, with a focus on development and enjoyment

· Create tailored training plans, specific to the needs of the group

· Provide match day support and coaching

· Be proactive in driving forward the development of the section

· Valid DBS and Right to Work in the UK

Desirables:

· Experience of coaching Women & Girls

· ECB Coaching Qualification (or willing to enrol)

The club will be able to support the successful candidate with obtaining a DBS and/or coaching qualification (if required)

Competitive remuneration package available, in line with experience.
