After winning the toss on a warm, muggy evening at Chipping Norton the Banbury opening pair of Cian Gerber & Tristan Marriott had a steady start taking just 4 singles off the 1st over. The 2nd over was to be the one that kick started the Banbury innings with an aggressive 9 runs coming from it; the first of 7 boundaries coming off the bat of Tristan Marriott. Both openers batted positively throughout their innings. The first Banbury wicket fell with the score on 88. Gerber bowled by Johnson for 43 off 42 balls faced! Marriott was next to go, run out for a run a ball 49. Captain, Kieron Churchill joined by Charlie Haselgrove both batted aggressively to take the Banbury score to a healthy 173 from their 20 overs. Churchill finished not out on 34*& Haselgrove not out 36*.
