U15s Remain Unbeaten!

After winning the toss on another grey, overcast evening down at Ermont Way, Great Tew were inserted by Banbury.

Charlie Haselgrove struck in the first over knicking off Ben Merritt, caught behind by Cian Gerber for 0. The Great Tew No. 2 & 3 put on a 30 run partnership before that was broken when he was clean bowled by Ben Dyble for 15. Top score for Great Tew was Callum Ardon with 23. The Tew innings eventually ended on 63. Pick of the bowlers for Banbury were Charlie Haselgrove 1-9-3, Ben Dyble 2-10-3, Max Blinkhorn 2-2-1, Oscar Page 1-4-2 & Olly Cook 1-0-1. Banbury were Brilliant in the field once again!

Banbury didn’t have the best start to chase down the 63, losing captain Kieron Churchill in the first over for 1. Max Blinkhorn fell shortly after Churchill for 4. That however brought Banbury wicket keeper batter Cian Gerber to the crease joined by Ben Dyble. The pair batted sensibly by running hard in between the wickets & dispatching any bad balls that came along. Banbury reached their total of 63 in 13 overs, with Gerber unbeaten on 24, & Ben Dyble unbeaten on 22. Another great team performance.
