A strong U15 Girls side, even without two County stars, proved much too strong for a young Charlbury side who included four U11’s.
Charlbury won the toss and elected to bat, losing wickets regularly with some excellent fielding from Banbury which included 3 run outs, two catches by Nicole Howlett and an excellent catch from wicketkeeper Pia Davies. The only resistent came from Louise Myatt (10). Wicket takers were Charlotte Levett (2), and one each for Chloe Hill, Kate davies, Alicia Richardson & Nilcole Howlett
Chasing the modest total Pia (24) & Kate (12) Davies barely got out of 2nd gear as they picked off the bad ball and got the runs in the 7th over to give Banbury a ten wicket victory and get their league season up and running with a comfortable victory.
