A nail bitting win away to Hooky last night, Banbury won the toss and elected to bowl. Hooky were 50 for 5 of 12 overs, finally finishing on a strong 120-6 of 20. Charlie Haselgrove 2-14-4, Josh Hunter 1-25-4, Max Blinkhorn 1-15-3, Tristan Marriott 1-16-4 and Callum Andrews 1-4-2 the pick of the bowlers with Olly Cook taking a brilliant overhead catch. Banbury started really strongly with the bat with openers Cian Gerber and Kieran Churchil putting on 75 runs before Cian retired 50*. He hit 5 boundaries and one huge 6! Keiron went on to make 25. Ally Short hit a brisk 13 but it was Charlie Haselgrove (16*) and the young, talented U13 Freddie Crook (6*) who managed to see Banbuey over the line with 8 balls to spare. Great win against a strong opposition this week, next game is 03/06 away against Bicester. Well done boys, carry on with the top work!
