The U13s reached the Oxford League final with our best all round performance of the season in beating Aston Rowant by 92 runs in the semi final yesterday in front of a bumper crowd at white post road..Batting first Banbury scored 152 ,Lloyd Sabin30 [retired],Charlie Hill [33 retired] and Clark Berry 29 the pick of an outstanding all round batting display with the running between the wickets being of the highest quality.In reply the young Rowant team found run scoring difficult as Banburys tight bowling and superb out cricket restricted them to 64 for 9 from their 20 overs .The other semi final is being played this sunday with the final on sunday september 23rd with maybe a 11am start,venue TBC, i know it will be difficult for a lot of our players with rugby and football but we can’t do any thing about it.
