The U11’s completed an incredible season by becoming Northamptonshire Champions, by thrashing Burton Latimer in the final on sunday, this after beating Horton House in the semi final by 22 runs earlier in the day.Batting first we totaled 261 for 1 Ollie Stevenson and Josh Megson both with 9 and skipper Will Briggs with 10 top scoring on a wet wicket and with no boundries in the innings.In reply Horton House totaled 239, 3-14 from Adnan Ahmed,Will Stanley 1-11 and Josh Megson 1-7 from his 3 overs all bowling well.In the final Burton Latimer won the toss and asked us to bat, Connor Williams 8, Will Stanley 9,Will Briggs 10 and 14 from Josh Megson enabled us to score 251.In reply Burton were never in it as Banburys brilliant bowling and fielding restricted them to 205-9.Of the 9 wickets 4 were run outs one brilliant effort from keeper Will Smith .The last Burton pair could only muster 7[ for 4 wickets] against the hostile pace of Megson 3-1-5-1 and the length and line of Ahmed 3-0-4-3 and when Kieran Scott took a catch off the last ball of the innings the celebrations began ,its was just left to Will Briggs to pick up the teams 3rd trophy of a memorable season
