The u11 have won the South Northants League with a dramatic last over win against Towcester on wednesday night.Batting first Towcester made 259, the pick of the Banbury bowlers was Adnan Hamid whose 3 overs cost just 3 runs with 1 wicket.All the other bowlers did a fine job, the throwing being the pick of the fielding effort, with the stumps being hit on no less than 6 times.In reply we got off to a good start, the first pair Tom White and Nathan Woods put on 25 .Justin Lamsdon and Craig Lynes then put on 19, Sam Allen and Adnan Hamid added 16.The final pair of Lloyd Sabin and Will Hicks needing 18 kept their heads under pressure,with 2 required off 2 balls.2 byes were scrambled off the fifth ball and the last ball was blocked to give us a dramatic win.We now go forward to the all Northamptonshire final at Loddington [near Kettering] on sunday August 22.
