Three out of three so far

The third XI made it three wins out of three with a 6 wicket victory over Chearsley 1st XI.

Willing the toss and bowling first we bowled well without any rewards but the Chearsley batters wee finding hard to score and play attackingly. After 18 overs the score was 35. Connor Williams conceded 8 runs in his first five over spell.

With 20 overs remainig (33 overs completed) Chearsley were 107 without loss, Jamie coles was introduced and made an imediate impact taking a wicket with his fifth ball. This started the demise and Chersley limped to 178 for 8 from 53 Overs. Jamie Coles finshed   with 5 -34 from 9 overs, Woody (2-29) and Connor (1-27) were the other wicket takers.

In reply Jonty and Sam Ryan got off to a solid startreaching 50 within 13 overs. Jonty was the first wicket to fall, and in quick sucession Sam, Joe White and Cutty were all back in the pavillion.

Julian and I then looked to steady the ship and build a partnership. An unbeaten partnership of 115 between Ju and Jarv saw Banbury home. Ju finishing 59* and Ally 50*.

Banbury and Wallingford sit top of the league, both having 75 points.
