Thirds Lose Close One at Didcot

Banbury lost by 20 runs at Didcot in a close game which could have gone either way .Batting first Didcot got off to a flyer with the excellent Matt Jones smashing the ball to all parts,when he was out for 72 the Banbury left arm spinners Andy Stevens 20 5 48 4 and Jamie Coles 18.2 2 66 5 both bowled magnificently as Didcot were reduced to 192 .

In reply Banbury got off to a solid Start but when Ally Jarvis got out for 29 ,three wickets fell for 5 runs in 4 overs as we slipped to 50 for 4.Justin Lambden and Neil Megson then produced a brilliant partnership of 93 ,Lambden was first to go for 50 and when Megson nicked one behind for 44 wickets tumbles as we were bowled out for 172 with just a ball to spare,man of the match Jones finished with 5 for 53.
