The thirds good form continued with an 18 point haul from their visit to Bledlow Ridge. On arrival we found the pitch wet through due to the covers not having been put on the night before and a serious rain shower in the morning. When play did start we lost the toss and were asked to bat in a 41-36 over game.As per usual Jamie Coles and Charlie Hill got us off to a good start with some brilliant running between the wickets.Coles was first out for 27,Hill out for a solid 21 and at 90 for 2 we were well placed.Skipper Neil Megson then went in to push the rate along and did so with a quick fire 27,Lambden was out for a good 37,but 14 year old Jack Briggs stole the show with a very mature 38 n/o with 3 fours and one mighty six ,we finished on a very competitive 177-5 in 41 overs. In reply Ridge were never in the hunt as Mike Thomas got the early breakthrough.Pick of the bowlers was however returning from injury second team star Ross Freeman who bowled magnificently to finish with 5-42 from 13 overs. With Steve Hart picking up two wickets Bledlow closed on 95-9 in 36 overs and another superb performance by all concerned. The fielding was once again brilliant, the highlights being two magnificent catches by Jamie Coles and Justin Lambden. We now find ourselves 20 points behind Bledlow Village who are second and very much in the promotion hunt.
