The Vets Live to Fight Another Day!

Match report by Neil Megson

The Vets remain in the top division of the Indoor leaguer after an astonishing win against Shipston...In a game where the winner stayed up and loser went down the pressure was on .Shipston batted first and finished on 114,an excellent score, they batted well,James Risbridger,Ollie Murrey and Andy Cross all bowled well, another brilliant catch from Gary Crook and a very tidy one behind the sticks from Paul Cutler ..but the pressure really was on us...We scored 2 from the first over and the situation looked bleak.. suddenly the switch was flicked and off we went, some wayward Shipston bowling ensued as Andy Cross 29 retired,,Steve Beck 30 retired, both batted brilliantly put us in the pound seats,Gary Crook 24 batted through the innings and along with Rizzy saw us chase down the 114 with 5 balls to spare and incredibly losing no Wickets..an astonishing performance by the old boys,we absolutely deserve to have another crack at the to division next season.... onwards
