Banbury Cricket Club are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Mike Robinson.
Mike (G.M.Robinson) was a founder member of the reformed club in 1949, and held a number of roles throughout his time involved with the club; later becoming a life member.
Mike served as 1st XI Captain from 1965-1968, during which time his father also served as President in 1966. He later became President of Banbury Cricket Club himself, serving two terms in 1984 and again in 2002.
Mike was also an integral trustee member and was ultimately the key visionary that helped bring White Post Road to life.
We share our sincere condolences and sympathies with Mike's family and dearest friends at this difficult time.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday 18th January at 10:00, at Banbury Crematorium and then on to Banbury CC.
