Our Ladies team played their first game of the season on Sunday against Thrapston at Whitepost Road winning by 10 wickets thanks to a superb unbeaten opening partnership by skipper Chloe AE Hill and Sophie Mitchelmore.
Thrapston won the toss and elected to bat. The first wicket fell at 21 and wickets fell consistently throughout as they finished on 153 for 9 off their 40 overs. Stand out bowling performances were from Sophie Mitchelmore 3 for 20 (8 overs), Lucy Hunter 1 for 14 (8), Chloe Hill 1 for 20 (8) and Chloe AE Hill 1 for 12 (3).
We chased down the total in 18.3 overs without losing a wicket, Chloe AE Hill finishing unbeaten on 85 (60 balls) and Sophie Mitchelmore on 67 not out (51).
Having had our 1st game cancelled and the opposition concede last weekend we are currently top of the table.
