We would like to take this opportunity to provide club members with an update regarding the groundsman situation at White Post Road. Following a number of discussions with prospective candidates, we are delighted to welcome Martin Charters as the new Groundsman.
Martin comes with a fantastic pedigree, having worked on the Lord's ground staff for nearly 15 years, as well as spells at Winchmore Hill CC, Kidlington CC, and most recently Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondes CC.
Martin's remit oversees the upkeep and development of the ground, within the boundary rope. He will then continue to be assisted by our superb group of willing volunteers, who will also maintain the surrounds and general ground maintenance. To this extent, Martin is already hard at work, and has begun plans for pre-season and beyond.
We would like to place on record our sincere thanks to the departing Graham Savin, who has worked tirelessly at White Post Road for the past 3 seasons. Graham's time, support and guidance has been invaluable, and we wish him the very best in his continued work at Bicester, as they return to the HCPCL. Thanks must also go to all the committee members involved in this process, for their efforts in securing the services of Martin.
Please join us in sending our best wishes to Graham, whilst welcoming Martin to Banbury Cricket Club.
