Defeat In Budapest

The tourists suffered a 6 wicket defeat in Budapest on saturday with a very very average performance indeed.Budapest won the toss and asked us to bat on a lively grass wicket at the RSFC ground in northern Budapest,Ian Johnson with 20 got us off to a flyer but when Mitch ran him out the wheels were starting to come off, wickets fell and at 50 for 6 we were in real bother,Ian Thomas[Tour Boy at 30] smashed his way to 30 but we were shot out for a paltry 90,with the host’s 16 year old Hungary Ladies skipper taking 3 for 20 in her 5 overs.Proc and Becky then bowled eight overs of tripe at the start of the innings and it took a wicket from Thomas to gets us into the game but we could not prevent the hosts from easing home with 6 overs to spare and win by 6 wickets.Blows were taken by the folowing,Mitchelmore,Woodhead,Thomas,Megson and Beck as the Banbury batsmen found the bowlers to hot to handle. The tour as ever proved to be a success and the hosts put on a Goulash feast after the game and we also had  the pleasure of a group of belly dancers to cap a top day in 35 degree temperatures.Watch out for the pictures as soon as Fos tells me how to put them into the gallery section, belly dancers included.
