The thirds suffered an 8 wicket defeat on their first visit to Cublington. On a cold and windy day we chose to bat , but found ourselves 64 for 5 inside 18 overs.Skipper Ross Freeman and youngster Justin Lambden then put on 70 for the 6th wicket as we steadied the ship,Lambden finally went for a superb 65 ,his innings included 9 fours,Freeman soon followed for a well made 34 .This left the evergreen Neil Megson 27n/o saw to see us to 182 in the 51st over.Sadly this was never going to be enough on the best wicket we will play on all season , about 80 light was what we thought. This proved so, Connor Williams grabbed 2 early wickets but Goldberg and Webb put on 140 for the third wicket as Cublington cruised home with overs to spare.
