BanburyUnder 11s completed a memorable season as they were crowned Northamptonshire county cup champions on finals day at Marston St Lawrence.
The victory gave them a momentous treble as they had already landed the Oxfordshire Club Championships title, as well as the South Northants League.
Banbury were up against Burton Latimer in the final.
Teams start with 200, losing six runs per dismissal in a game of pairs cricket.
Batting first, Banbury posted a daunting total of 251, with Josh Megson and skipper Will Briggs in good form.
Burton found the going difficult in their reply, thanks mainly to brilliant out-cricket from Banbury.
Nine wickets fell in total, four of them to run-outs, as Burton managed only 205.
Adnan Ahmed finished with 3-4, while Megson’s hostile pace bowling brought figures of 1-5 from three overs.
In the semi-final, Banbury batted superbly on a wet wicket, making 261 for the lost of only one wicket.
Megson and Oliver Stevenson were the stars of the show, putting on 26 for the third pair, while Briggs top-scored with 23.
Burton Latimer had edged out Oundel by two runs in the other semi-final.
