Banbury CC are looking forward to taking on perennial Home Counties title challengers and current Champions High Wycombe both home and away this weekend. On Saturday Banbury visit London Road before the fixture is reversed in the Kingfisher Beer National Club Championship at White Post Road on Sunday.
The season is only two games old, but the league fixture is a ‘top vs second’ clash, both sides will be hoping to lay down a marker for the rest of the league campaign.
Sunday’s 45 over clash will suit both sides, with power hitters like Haupt, Hawkes and ex-Surrey and Leicestershire man Jamie Benning looking to out muscle each other. The match should be some spectacle, so get to Banbury early to enjoy the lunch time beer promotions.
