Join Derek Randall at the Pavilion on Friday the 1st of May at Banbury Cricket Club’s Pre-Season Dinner for the 2009 season.

Derek played 47 tests for England between 1977 and 1984 amassing 2,470 runs including 7 centuries; he was widely regarded as one of the best cover fielders of his generation.

Highlights of an entertaining career included a valiant 174 against Australia in the Centenary test in Melbourne.

Randall’s energetic nature lent itself to the one day game and he also represented England 49 times in One Day Internationals.

A 488 game 1st Class career yielded over 28,000 runs and 52 centuries for his native Nottinghamshire and England. A further testament to his fitness and longevity is that he continued to turn out for Suffolk until the age of 50.

Tickets for what is sure to be an entertaining night are £30, including a 3 course meal and Coffee, and are available from John Woodworh 07990516352 / johnwoodworthbrfc@msn.com
