Banbury Cricket Club’s disability cricket programme proved a fantastic success throughout schools across Oxfordshire. The initiative came from Banbury’s Disability Officer, Luke Ryan, who used the idea as part of his university project. The scheme signalled the first regular disability cricket coaching in the county with funding provided by the Lottery distributor ‘Awards for All’.

The whole team put in a fantastic effort to reach and narrowly lose the final ( by 7 runs). Due to illness we lost two players but everyone who played contributed in some way to an effort that they should be proud of, although they were very disappointed not to have won the county title.
