Abingdon turn tables to ease fears ABINGDON Vale eased their relegation fears with an impressive 122-run victory over promotion-chasing Kingston Bagpuize.
Con Griffin (81) and Matthew Chown (69) took Vale to an imposing 267-8, before Michael Cook (4-27) and left-armer Danny Hartley (3-45) reduced Kingston to 80-9.
Dave Pearce hit an unbeaten 46 before the visitors were bowled out for 145.

Sandford St Martin needed 28 from the final two overs to beat Witney Mills, and came within one run of achieving it.
Earlier, they had conceded 41 wides in Mills’s 202-6, profligacy they would live to regret.
In reply, Jim Howe hit 61 as Sandford reached 118 without loss, but wickets tumbled to leave them in trouble.
Richard Craig then hit 18 from the penultimate over to put them back in it, before Mark Robey was bowled by Jim Skelson off the final ball to leave
Sandford on 202-8.

Chris Board hit 91 not out and Andrew Sabin 87 as Banbury 2nd drew with leaders Oxford 2nd.
Banbury posted an imposing 253-6, and the visitors never looked like making an impression on the target as they settled for a draw on 184-8, Marc Rorich
taking 4-38.

Steve Murrey took 5-44 for Great & Little Tew as they brushed aside bottom club Kimble by seven wickets.
Kimble were bowled out for a meagre 115, which Tew passed for the loss of three wickets in just 22 overs.

Bledlow Ridge’s decision to declare on 295-3 after Andrew Binnie had hit 102 and Martin Middleton 93 appeared well justified.
But in giving themselves an extra over to bowl Wolverton Town out, they gave them the six extra balls they needed reach the target.
Town skipper Andy Gosling (99) and Babar Raja (52) laid the foundations for the win, which was achieved off the final ball of the 51st over.
