Banbury CC Under 15 v Kineton CC Under 15

What an excellent game of cricket! Kineton batted very well and opener Stephen Rigby played a fine innings of 42, he was supported by good contributions from Ally Worby with 23 not out, Fred Hammond 14 and a nice little cameo of 9 not out from three balls from Tommy Wheeler. Igbal with 2-11, A Mobbs 2-16 and J Lambton 1-16 bowled very well for Banbury. In reply Banbury made an excellent start before C Hill was run out by Blake Sutheran for 15. T White followed for 29 with a superb caught and bowled from Worby. J Lambton and W Hicks (32 not out) then carried the score forward until Lambton was run out for 10. With the scores getting ever closer tensions ran high. Cannard hit two boundaries and was then bowled by Conor Green. This left the home side needing 12 to win off the last two overs. Hammond then clean bowled Iqbal and with nine needed off the last over skipper Jamie Maynard conceded only five and Kineton ran out winners by three runs.
