We are pleased to confirm we will be running an All Stars cricket programme at Banbury CC this season, on Friday evenings starting in May, alongside our regular youth training for other age groups.
All-Stars will replace the Multi-Skills sessions we ran in previous years. Our usual Under 9s coaching sessions, for Years 3 and 4, will continue on Friday evenings for those who have done Multi-Skills with us previously.
All Stars provides a fantastic first experience of cricket for all children – boys and girls – aged between 5 and 8 years old, during which they are guaranteed 8 weeks of jam-packed fun and activities. The programme is designed to introduce younger children to the sport: teaching them new skills, helping them make new friends, and all while having a great time.
We are also delighted to announce that Bethany Bidwell (pictured), who already plays for our Ladies team at Banbury CC, will lead the coaching team for our new All Stars sessions!
Bethany has plenty of experience with the All Stars programme, having trained as an All Stars activator and run sessions at a local club previously. Bethany will be assisted by a great team of volunteer coaches and helpers.
Every child that registers for the All Stars programme will receive a branded back-pack containing:
- a plastic cricket bat;
- a practice cricket ball; and
- a personalised T-Shirt with their name on it.
The All Stars sessions will be open to all children aged 5 to 8, especially those who are new to cricket. We would especially like more girls to get involved in the game through the new All Stars sessions at Banbury.
Priority registration for our new All Stars sessions will open on 10th February 2022, for those who have previously taken part in an All Stars programme at another club. For those who are new to All Stars, registration will be open from 18th February 2022.
Spaces will be limited so don’t miss out!
Keep an eye out on our website and socials for more updates and details on how to sign up.
