Past President and life member of Banbury Cricket Club Trevor Parry has passed away.
Trevor passed away in the John Radcliffe hospital following a brain haemorrhage he suffered recently.
As well as playing for Banbury for many years, including playing well into his sixties as a medium paced bowler, Trevor played a crucial role in the affairs of the Glebe Recreational Trust, being instrumental in helping to resolve a major issue with the Charity Commission, which at the time seriously threatened the existence of the Trust and cricket club.
Trevor also played a key role in the clubs move from the old Grange Road Ground to our current White Post Road home.
A representative of the club and trust is in contact with his son, Andrew, and will circulate further details of the funeral arrangements when confirmed.
