This Bank Holiday Monday 4th June. Banbury Cricket Club vs Banbury Rugby Football Union Club for the Barrie Nichols Trophy
SO FAR 15 PLAYERS SIGNED UP BUT THE MORE THE MERRIER – SUPPORT YOUR CLUB AND HAVE A LOT OF FUN – TAKE PART IN THIS GREAT EVENT
Barrie Nichols was a great friend and supporter of
sport in the town. Since his passing, his two favourite clubs have competed for
a trophy named in his honour 3 times. The cricket club have triumphed twice (at
Cricket and Skittles), but the Rugby Club are the current holders after winning
the golf.
This coming bank holiday Monday, we go head to head
again as two new sports are added to the trophy’s already varied history. Three
sports in all will be played on the day as we match up on:
- Touch Rugby
- Tug ‘o’ war
- Cricket
Please contact Jimmy Phillips (07850 209108) and pledge your support to Barrie and the club by making yourself available to
compete on the day. You can opt to take part in one, two or all of the
activities and we are also in need of drinkers and BBQ eaters.
