The thirds lost a thriller against Dinton 2 off the last ball today,in a game reduced to 48-43 overs, Banbury lost the toss and were asked to bat.We found ourselves in trouble at 40 for 3 but John Wright 50 and Justin Lambden 23 held the innings together and got the score to 110 ,both were out in quick succession but Mike Thomas 28 batted superbly to guide us to a par score of 161.In reply Dinton road their luck and with Steve Hart picking up 3-58 keeping us in touch.Hart and Keith Arnold bowled well at the death to get us to the final over with 10 needed,Dintons opener Allen Massey saw them hope with 93 n/o off the last ball,we only had ourselves to blame as we put him down on 5 occasions, all of the chances were difficult though.A great game to start the season with sadly the wrong result.
