Banbury visited local rivals Banbury XX on Saturday in what turned out to be a one sided affair.
Banbury won the toss and elected to field and the decision was justified almost imediately, when Josh Megson bowled Brian Griffiths for 0 third ball.
Megson then struck with his first ball of his third over to remove John Wright also bowled for 0. After some terrible running, Assif Hussain was run out by a "powerful" throw from Andrew Sabin.
Megson was still dominating, and when he removed Michael Thomas, LBW for 14 the score was 32-4. Megson 3-15.
The biggest partership of the innings was between Barry Grant (39no) and Keith Arnold (16). Arnold was finally removed after playing and missing numerous times at Ross Freeman (12-3-19-2), when he edged behind to Ed Phillips.
Paul Hill (10-3-15-1) then had Nick Best LBW with his 3rd ball.
The introduction of Megson for his second spell saw the run rate increase, but wickets also tumble. The final 3 wickets put on 42 as XX Club were dismissed for 136.

Banbury’s reply started poorly, when Ed Phillips was adjudged LBW for 6 off Mahmood.
Jamie Coles (34) continued his fine form, with he and Andrew Sabin(34) putting on 70 and taking the game away from XX Club. Sabin was first to fall, trying to hit one onto the M40, and getting caught. Coles soon followed trying to hit one over the top and getting bowled.
Luke Radford (35no) and Nathaniel Gregory (18no) saw Banbury home with 24 overs to spare.
