The whole team put in a fantastic effort to reach and narrowly lose the final ( by 7 runs). Due to illness we lost two players but everyone who played contributed in some way to an effort that they should be proud of, although they were very disappointed not to have won the county title.
Semi Final – Banbury 138-3, Justin Lambden 50 ret, James Morgan 42 not out. Irthlinborough 77, Justin Lambden 5-15 ( including an hat-trick). Final – Weldon 113-7, Charlie Hill 4-1-7-3. Banbury 106-5, Justin Lambden32, Anas Ahmed 24. Thankyou to all the parents and to Richard Lambden and Peter Scott. The team were praised for their performance and attitude and were a very good reflection on the club. The Under 15 section have done the club proud by two almost different teams winning a county title and being runners up in another county. Hopefully the Oxon league team can progress far in the Portman National Competition. Again well -done to all the players who have represented Banbury Under 15’s this season.
