The U11’s have reached the the Qt final of the Oxford League with a magnificent all round victory at North Cotswold last night.Batting first N/C scored 241 on a lightning fast outfield,2 wickets for 2 runs from Conor Williams,2–2 from Will Briggs and 2–10 from paceman Josh Megson the pick of the bowlers,Keeper Will Smith had a fine game,with the highlight of the fielding a superb catch by Ollie Stevenson in the deep.In reply we started with a first over run out, but Williams and Smith saw us to 209 after the first pair.Brilliant batting by the second pair Will Stanley 23 and Ed Arnold 12 got us to 246 at half way.Kieran Scott and the big hitting Josh Megson were next and they scored 33 Megson 25 including 3 boundries in an over from Worcestershire leg spinner Darrall Williams.In was left to the last pair of Stevenson and Briggs to see us home with a final total of 291, the side produced their best performance of the season when it really mattered,and were superbly led by skipper Will Briggs.We now look forward to a quarter final in the week starting july 3rd, venue and opposition TBA.
