BANBURY 3rd recovered from 48-7 to get within four runs of Shipton-under-Wychwood 2nd’s 185-9 before a direct hit run-out handed Shipton maximum points.
Jason Constable took 6-63 to put Banbury in dire trouble, but tailenders Andrew Harris (34) and ten Iain Woodworth (39) helped take and captain Sean Cranley (30no) took the visitors to 181-9.
But teenager Bradley Bryant then produced a direct hit from the boundary to run out Woodworth in the penultimate over.
Shipton’s innings was built around Danny Bishop’s 42 and 25 wides, which were to cost Banbury dear.

Tom Bilyard (67), Andrew Brown (44no) and Luke Quinlivan (40) batted well as Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts 2nd made 219-5 after being inserted by Aston Rowant 2nd.
Rowant were wobbling on 74-3 after 28 overs when heavy rain meant the game ended in a draw.

James Shirley took 5-21 for Bledlow Village as Stanton St John Willows were rolled over for 98.
Hussain Abidi then took 3-25 as Willows made Bledlow fight all the way to 99-5 after 36 overs.

Richard Hooper took 6-31 as Thame Town 2nd bowled out Banbury Twenty 2nd for 130 to set up a five-wicket win.
Phil Densham (69) shone for Twenty, before Paul Thomson (56no) then steered Thame to 132-5.
