New captain Richard Kaufman got off to a winning start as Banbury posted an emphatic 100-run victory at Stratford-upon-Avon in the second round.
Winning the toss and deciding to bat, Banbury made 213-9 from their 45 overs with Kaufman leading the way with 58 and Steve Beck making 55.
Banbury bowlers Paul Taylor and Calum Taylor then soon had Stratford in trouble at 23-5.
The Banks’s Birmingham & District Premier League Division 1 side rallied with the sixth-wicket pair adding 81.
But the introduction of off-spinner Jimmy Phillips sparked a dramatic collapse as he took 4-12 to send Stratford crashing to 113 all out.
Now Banbury are away to Old Hill or Coventry & North Warwicks in the next round on Sunday, May 23.
