Banbury 4th XI started their Cherwell League campaign in style recording a record 179 run victory over Bicester and North Oxford.
Banbury won the toss and batted first posting a total of 227 – 4 before declaring with 5 overs to go. A half century from Paul Foster(58) and 43 from Nat Gregogry provided the foundation, putting on 103 for the second wicket.
A good all round bowling display ensured Bicester were bowled out for 48 inside 24 overs with Chris Phillips, Ed Smith taking three wickets a piece.
