Banbury 4th put on a good show in thier first match against an Oxford 4th XI. After winning the toss Martin Phillips and Nathaniel Gregory got Banbury off to a solid start. As Phillips departed for 27, Paul Foster came to the crease and made 56 not out form 84 balls to see the home side to a respectable total of 171.
In reply Banbury bowled well and looked as though they could get a draw out of the game, but Oxford sneaked home in the pernoltimate over.
