The Thirds drew with Tiddington 2nds on Saturday , a game though they really should have won.Banbury won the toss and choose to bowl .Young seamers Clarke Berry .Charlie Hill and Connor Williams as well as not so young Andy Proctor bowled all but 3 of the overs.Three wickets at the death for Proctor,1 for Andy Stevens in his 3 overs,2 for Hill and Williams and 2 for pick of the bunch Berry whose 14 overs conceded only 28 runs in two superb spells.The bowlers were ably assisted by 2 brilliant catches for Jamie Coles and 4 victims for veteran keeper Neil Megson as Tidd were bowled out 195 in the 50th over.In reply Banbury got off to a superb start With Charlie Hill 21 and Adam Wirth putting on 62 for the first wicket in 15 overs.Justin Lambden continued the tempo until he was out in the 29 over for 19 with just over a 100 needed.The introduction of Neil Smith was to prove the turning point as he claimed 7 wickets to confirm his position as the leagues top bowler.We ended up 169 for 9 ,which was disappointing after the great start we had been given.
