The third team bounced back after our first defeat with an excellent performance against Bicester 2nds,winning by 127 runs..
We lost the toss… again and were asked to bat,an early wicket lost but a fine 60 run stand by Adnan Ahmed 20 and Craig Haupt, Haupty playing some glorious drives, Craig finally out for an excellent 67…Will Briggs chipped in with a tidy 27,then an excellent 60 run partnership between Mikey Brown 23no and Will Marland 43 not,they mixed good running between the wicket with some spanking boundries, Brown taking 15 from the last over, Marland very controlled and mature.. We finished on 230,which was bang on par..
Our bowlers all then showed up,a wicket for Marland,2 again for the excellent Brown as Bicester lost wickets at regular intervals.. But the pick of our attack was the superb Tom Anderson,Tom bowled 10 straight to finish with 5 for 26 in a ripping spell,his first 5 fer for us, it won’t be his last… young spinner Fred Crook chipping with 2 wickets as we rolled Bicester for 103 in 37 overs,our best allround performance yet….
