2025 AGM News

Following on from our recent AGM, there's plenty of news to keep you updated on, going into the 2025 season!

Election of New Officers:

  • Club President: After two outstanding years, John Woodhead's term as President comes to a close. The club owes John an enormous debt of gratitude for the enthusiasm, pride and generosity that he has shown in the role. We are very excited to confirm that Neil Megson will succeed John, 25 years on from leading our inaugural HCPCL winning side!
  • Youth Chairman: Cat Miller takes a well deserved step back as Youth Chair, after driving the youth section to new heights, with record number of members and fixtures in recent years! However, Cat will kindly remain on the committee, with a focus on Youth Membership. We are delighted to confirm that Matt Acton will now assume this key role.
  • Safeguarding Officer: After three years of dedication, Becky Holmes is standing down. We are very grateful to Amy Acton who takes on this role; a vitally important contact and resource for all members.

We would like to place our enormous thanks on record to all outgoing officers for their time, dedication and commitment to the club and we look forward to working with new officers as the club continues to move forward! A number of our outgoing officers will still be involved in other roles, whether it be umpiring, coaching or simply spectating, so we look forward to seeing them around the grounds.

A full list of confirmed officers of the club can be found here. You may note that a number of our 'General Committee' members now have defined roles listed - this is in attempt to highlight the breadth of work required to keep the club successful, but also acts as a useful reference so all members know the points of contact, for any queries, or to offer their support in future months / years, as we aim to succession plan!

We have been very fortunate for the last decade to see such stability in our playing leadership, therefore 2025 sees a number of changes as those familiar faces take a well deserved rest, back into the fold. We are excited to announce Mike Jones as our 2nd XI captain, Luke Wetherill as our 3rd XI captain and Craig Haupt as our 4th XI Manager; work is ongoing to finalise the on-field captain for the 4th XI, to work alongside Craig.
